When an attempt to install Borg technology into Voyager's propulsion system backfires, B'Elanna Torres is forced to eject the ship's warp core. An attempt to retrieve it by shuttle results in an attack by an alien race which leaves B'Elanna and Tom Paris drifting in space. Nemesis In direct defiance of the Prime Directive, Chakotay becomes personally involved in a bitter planetary war and takes up arms against a vicious enemy whose practice is to torture and desecrate their captives. Meanwhile, Janeway accepts the help of the opposing faction to rescue Chakotay.
